This week marks 20 years since the original PlayStation was launched in Japan and with that, Sony just announced the pale gret colour PS4. It’s more than just a new paint job, there are plenty of small touches to cause nostalgia moments including patterns made of the familiar square, triangle, circle and X. The touchpad on the controller has similar etched effects and badge in front of the console.
Some may argue it’s nicer than the slick new white version they released earlier this year. Unfortunately, there’s only 12,300 of them and most are sold in pre-order already. Oh well, there’s always the next anniversary.
